As I traveled the land, I learned there was magick flowing freely. It comes from a natural source within the caster called mana. Not everyone can use magick abilities that come from within the body or mind. Those without the inner ability must use scrolls, wands or staves. When there is magick in the air, the skin tingles and hair stands on end. The power that is generated is astounding.
There are many different paths of magick to choose from, spheres of influence. Wizards draw their power from the elements. The powers of fire, earth, air and water are at their disposal. Clerics, paladins and anti paladins call upon their faith for the power of magick. Their gods, good or evil, aid them in whatever their purpose. Psionicists gain their power over magick from intense concentration and the sheer power of the mind. Druids call upon nature. Animals and plants are at their beck and call. It seems the wisest choice is made by looking within and understanding strengths and weaknesses of the whole person.
